We are going to refer to this as the platinum 600 to stress the fact that every second is critical during this time period in determining patient outcome. If your actions are organized, planned, and practiced you can make the most of the platinum 600 and give your patient the best chance for survival. Time is ticking and the patients life could be literally slipping away at an alarming rate. You are the first and arguably the most important stage in the trauma system and today our goal is to arm you with time based treatment plans in order to maximize your efficiency and effectiveness during the first 600 seconds of a serious trauma.
